In the wake of the recent tasering of the Polish immigrant in Vancouver's airport, I am compelled to comment. No one should be surprised when police resort to extreme measures. They generally have an us-versus-them mentality. The force attracts bullies. And as you can see in this case, they are cowards.

uptight pricks in Ottawa are beginning to piss me off. In the middle of an excellent mid-season NFL game, the national Coservative Party ran a TV ad slamming Dion and the Liberals about priorities or some bullshit like that. They're not even in an election campaign and they are spending serious money to paint the opposition as inept cowards, etc. Give me a fucking break! Save us this petulant vitriole.

The government of China is pissed at the government of Canada for the reception being given to the Dalai Lama of Tibet. The Dalai is seen as an advocate of separatism and should not be feted and accorded a status as if he were representing a nation. The Chinese Commies can get their asses in a knot about anything that comes near recognition of avowed separatists but I have an idea for them in retaliation. China's money-loving Commies can begin to court the separatistes in Quebec. They could offer lots of money to buy favour with the Bloc-heads and PQ, etc.

So Slow Eddie gave us the rundown and it sounded like what was expected. The key to the announcement is what he DIDN'T say. His corporate masters need time and his job is to buy it for them. When the boys in Houston or Calgary (same same) say "Sing", Eddie says, "What tune?" so we'll get the REAL news shortly. And forget about an election call until there are polls showing it is safe and the risk is low to take it to the voters.

Can families be together forever? Well, there's this thing called death. I haven't seen my brother for over 30 years since he died. He may be golfing with Jesus right now but I doubt I will ever know while I'm alive.
